Welcome to Gammelgaard Feriecenter
Gammelgaard Feriecenter is an original Læsø farm dating back to the 1600s which, after the farmland structural development, became expendable and was bought by the Kjeld Strøm Pedersen family. In 1992, they rebuilt it into a modern holiday centre. Today, it still appears new and modern after continuous and careful maintenance – lately a replacement of all domestic appliances and modernisation of kitchens, new furniture and TVs as well as a façade renovation and a new roof.
Gammelgaard Feriecenter is surrounded by forest and cultivated spruce in the middle of Læsø – just outside the town of Byrum, the island’s main town, with shopping, restaurants, town hall, public institutions, medical centre, dental clinic etc. Only 1 km from Gammelgaard and with a direct and free bus line and cycle path right outside, and 2 km to the local airstrip. The perfect point of departure on foot, by bike, by bus or car.
In recent years, Gammelgaard Feriecenter has grown and now offers accommodation in holiday homes at Pilegaarden Ferieboliger and Annekset. This means that today, we can offer different solutions tailored to the needs of our guests – and their holiday budgets. So you’ll have the best chance of relaxation, action, nice surroundings and a high hygiene standard, peace and quiet and a genuine island atmosphere.
